Beyonce To Release 70-Song Album?
After recording over 70 songs, Beyonce is set to release her new album next month. Yes, an astonishing SEVENTY SONGS. Here's what she just release via her official website:
"I wanted to address my fans about my upcoming album. I have worked on this album for close to one year. I have taken the time so I can create my sound. Something that says who I am at this stage in my life. I have poured my heart and soul into it. It is my baby. It is the most time I have spent on any project since my first records as a member of Destiny's Child when I was 15 years old. I have recorded over 70 songs and have created a sound that reveals all of me. I am in a different place right now and I wanted people to see the many sides of me. The music is upbeat for the dance, fun side and it is reflective, passionate and serious for the personal side. I have taken risks here. I am not afraid and my music will explain it all. There is no label or tag on my sound. It's me and I am so excited to share it with the world on November 18. Love, Beyoncé"
How many of those 70 will make the cut? We shall see! It was previously announced that two tracks from Beyonce's album, "If I Were a Boy" and "Single Ladies," will be released in advance of the LP on October 7.

BEYONCE'S NEW ALBUM TO BE DELAYED
Beyonce Knowles' new album is set to be delayed. The former Destiny's Child singer is due at Sony BMG Music Wednesday to make an announcement about the record's release - which was originally scheduled for November 18 - but insiders say they have run into problems. A source told the New York Daily News newspaper: "The album is not going to be completed by November 18. But she's got to get it out early in the fourth quarter, when there's so much competition among artists." The delay is believed to be due to Beyonce's decision to star in two movies this year - "Cadillac Records" and "Obsessed" - as well as the duet she has recorded with Justin Timberlake. An insider said: "Both Beyonce and Justin didn't like the way the song sounded, so they insisted on doing it over and over again until they got it 100 percent right." However, Rob Stringer, the chief of Sony BMG Music, still holds out hope for the album to be released later this year. He said: "Beyonce has an enormous number of very talented people doing whatever they can to make it the best record possible." "Normally I would lie low, but we think the first two singles will be utterly huge. They're two of the best songs of her career. Beyonce is incredibly hardworking, and the album is 97 percent to 98 percent done. It'll be out before Nov. 20. Frankly, we think the whole record is going to be huge."
