Tags : None I'm such a total tightwad, but I'm dying to blow most of my paycheck on designer jeans. I was sooooo close to getting Seven For All Making jeans, but they weren't fitting properly. Not sure if this happens to some of you, but sometimes, jeans don't hug my back. They like, stick out. But, yeah, that was happening with the pair I liked. Sooo, anyone have any suggestions?

I have like 40 pairs, lol. They're definitely expensive but sooo worth it. What style were you buying? I just bought the wide-leg Dojos. I do recommend trying a size lower then you normally wear, since they stretch pretty quickly. I have the plain classic bootcuts though and they're AMAZING. I also really like Citizens of Humanity and Rock & Republic skinnies...OMG I LOVE JEANS. lol

The flip-flop style is cute, I agree with those. What sets them apart - let's discuss! 1. The quality of the denim is superior. Its not cheap stretchy denim, but it tends to be lightweight. 2. The waist size matches the length. 3. They last! Since I started buying designer denim, I've never thrown out or donated a pair. 4. They mold to your body, even when you wash them. Like good shoes! 5. Soooo comfy (Sevens, I mean). I find their denim really soft. Umm I could keep going but I feel like I'm sounding like a ditzy girl right now. lol

Intermediate Jen-ology Posts: 706 08/12/08 4:21 AM	I'm having the same dilemma. I LOVE designer jeans but I feel so bad spending a lot of money! I agree that the fit and quality is great but I don't know if it's great enough to justify $200. I really think the quality just isn't there in cheaper jeans though. I spend say $60 and they're not quite right, the denim feels clingy or goes baggy after an hour, they don't last. I used to have a few really expensive things I wore a lot, and now I have a ton of cheaper stuff. I think I might go back to the old way since I'm running short on closet space! Are all these jeans made for really tall people though? I'm like a 30 inch inseam and I can't afford to tailor everything on top of the $200, LOL.

Its usually not that expensive anyway...maybe $10. They are expensive, but I don't mind spending a lot on things I wear all the time - which is mostly jeans and bags.
