My anticipation for the film grows and grows every day now, and every time I see trailers/stuff about other rom coms. I'm like "You people just wait...my Jenny is gonna be back on top in a few months with the best rom com of the year"

I feel this will be a successful film....everyone loves Jlo in romantic comedies, look at how well Wedding planner, Maid, and Monster in law did....even the haters watch her films... too bad it wasnt released on Valentines day weekend though, that would have been perfect

The film career of Jennifer Lopez has been quiet of late. She’s been busy being a global pop star instead. Which is quite a shame because she when she can be bothered, she’s a great actress. The beginnings of her rise to stardom saw her acting in serious films or quirky stuff like U-Turn. A lot of the younger generation will probably never know she appeared in films before taking the singing route. For them she’s Jenny from the Block or J-Lo and one half of the whole Bennifer thing. God, I bet Ben Affleck still cringes at appearing in THAT video…and Gigli.

So here Miss Lopez back on our screens in May for the release of The Back Up Plan. It’s a rom-com, so she’s dipping her toe back into the movie pool to see what temperature the public opinion is. The premise is intriguing enough: a woman hasn’t found Mr. Right/Man of Her Dreams/Anybody and gets artificially inseminated (like she’d need that in real life)…only for Mr. Right to walk into her life. Who’d have thunk it?

This is definitely a chick-flick, but what the hell, I enjoyed Maid in Manhattan and not afraid to say it! And Lopez is still smokin’ hot after all these years.

Lowdown: Just when Jennifer Lopez gives up on finding the perfect man and decides to get artificially inseminated she finds what she's always been looking for in mysterious stranger Alex O'Loughlin. Can he deal with her new baby on the way? Or, is there more to him that meets the eye?

Grade: B+ Lopez might actually make a comeback with this one. The duo have obvious screen chemistry and it teases that O'Loughlin could be the breakout leading man of the year.

Warner Bros.' annnounced Tuesday that its upcoming fantasy epic “Clash of the Titans” will indeed be converted into 3D and its release date will be pushed back a week to April 2, setting off a wave of calendar rejiggering by rival studios.
With "Clash" moving from March 26, CBS Films announced Tuesday that its Jennifer Lopez romantic comedy “The Back-Up Plan" will move from April 16 to April 23. One rival-studio distribution official said that with "Clash" moving into early April, and other films likely to push their release dates back in its wake, April 16 had become too crowded for what will be CBS Films' second release

i honestly have extremely HIGH hopes for this movie. and the fact that its gonna be a super bowl spot is AMAZING. this could really launch her career back and get people loving her again. i'm really hoping it makes over $100 million like I think it will so haters can SHUT UP! lol. cant wait to see this movie SMASH!!!

, all this doesn't sound good, don't really know what to think even if it's just one week, what are CBS so afraid of?

edit: ok reading the whole article there is a bunch of other movie moving too, so because it's in 3D i guess they're afraid of the Avatar effect.

there is Wall Stree 2 and that movie based from a SNL skit. If they don't add more movie that day it's less competition that the previous date.

Thankz Nadia! Looks like Wall Street 2 will be the biggest competitor for TBUP. Michael Douglas (Wall Street) won Oscar for "Best Actor" in 1988 and the directed is Oliver Stone, Wall Street 2 will be a great movie, imo! Moreover, Shia LaBeouf is a hot name since Transformer.

But I found it very interested! Jen and "old-friend" Oliver Stone, let's see who will win this time :P

Less strong competition more money in the box of TBUP. Clash of Titans will bring many teens, and pre-teens with their mommies. So mommies can not go with her friends to see TBUP that week.Lol
