The sitcom and standup star, otherwise known as G.Lo, plays the man with all the answers amid an assortment of misguided romantics. Making the movie, directed by Garry Marshall, Lopez had a chance to take revenge on Kutcher for a "Punk'd" stunt five years ago. The comic was tricked into believing his home was going to be demolished. But there was no lingering hostility and the two performers bonded as friends like their screen counterparts. The role reflects Lopez's happy marriage to TV producer, Ann Serrano, whom he met more than two decades ago. In 2005, she donated a kidney to save her husband's life. They have a teen daughter, Mayan. Lopez and Serrano will be celebrating Valentine's Day at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am golf tournament (the entertainer hits the links as a hobby). The golf course is perhaps not the most sentimental spot for the holiday but Lopez does plan to take Serrano out to dinner that night. It's tough to imagine where the 48-year-old Mexican-American finds the time for so many pursuits. Last fall, he launched a talk show, "Lopez Tonight." Last month, the program made news when Jennifer Lopez came in to 'hijack" the stage and demonstrated her own flare for winning laughs. We spoke with Lopez about love and flowers and medical marijuana during a recent phone interview. Q. How did the J.Lo hijacking originate? A. That was just a gift. It was such a blessing to have Jennifer Lopez not only hijack the show but do legitimate standup. Q. Is she going to start her own show and compete with you? A.
