Eva Longoria do a frangance in spring 2010
Want to smell like a Desperate Housewife? Well, now you can with the launch of Eva by Eva Longoria Parker set for next Spring. Although Eva is
already a spokesperson for L'Oreal, the eau de parfum marks her first independent foray into the beauty world.
"I have always been somewhat allergic to all perfumes and really wanted to create something that every woman could wear," Longoria Parker told Women's Wear Daily. "So I decided to create my own fragrance that is light, fresh and unique. I think the scent of a woman is extremely sexy and this scent will prove that."
According to Jerome Falic, CEO of Falic Fashion Group (the company that developed the fragrance alongside ELP), the actress was very much involved in the scent's creation. "Eva was involved from day one with all aspects of the project," said Falic. "At the end of the day, it's about Eva. She wanted something different, so we designed quite a few different versions."
"I never knew how complicated it was to create a unique scent that hasn't already been done," admitted Longoria Parker. "But I enjoyed the process."
The bottle, in the form of a women's silhouette, was designed by Wilhelm Liden at Paul Meyers & Friends. The new eau de parfum includes top notes of
citrus, neroli, and bergamot tea while the center includes sheer jasmine, violet and freesia. Once applied to skin, the scent dries with finishing notes of
musk, amber and sandalwood.
