there is an interesting conversation between @elmayimbe from Latinoreview (who say that Jen tries desperately to play "anglo" characters) and
@DannyTRS & from
totallyradshow.com & @scarletscribe who desagree with him or don't see anything wrong with it !
he also say that TBUP is scrude in box-office because it's going against Kick Ass.
now i understand why Latinoreview never post news about Jen projets anymore elmayimbe is mad at her. From @elmayimbe On Angel Eyes she dyed her her blonde & had her character & family rewritten as "white". Trust me, I'm privy to these things. No. Hence why she switches agents constantly. When she's pitched Latina character, she flips! Wants to be believed as blanca.

I think it comes back to why should it matter what ethnicity she is? Why should it be explicitly clear?
No way in heck they made her "white" in AE. Her family is definitely not Caucasion. Sonia Braga played her mother, FFS. The guy who played her father is PR from the Bronx. They complain that she's blonde, and then go on to say that Latinas come in all colors, shapes, and sizes, lol. My family is Cuban and my grandmother and all her siblings used to have white blonde hair. Her whole image is Jenny From the Block, the PR girl from the Bronx. |

That's the thing. I'm all up for a debate, but you can't really change someone like that's mind. It's the whole "hate your own
race" thing, you know?
I can understand Jennifer's perspective if she didn't want it to be explicitly discussed or explained in every movie. Just like I understand her playing different ethnicities - Italian in The Wedding Planner, for example. No one makes a big deal when a white person does it, but if someone else does it, they aren't "repping their people". You know? It's stupid. |

^ yeah exactly !
and he so think that TBUP will tank against Babies and Kick Ass, Kick Ass is a big blockbuster movie so even rated R it might be #1 but i'm pretty sure TBUP will do quiet well the comments online about the trailer are pretty great as for Babies it will probably won't open wide. |

@scarletscribe - For the sheer fact that it goes against the grain by 1. showing pregnant women as sexual beings 2. showing that some men can be men and be with women who have children and 3. that women don't need to wait around for a man to have a family, I vote J.Lo. |
