I mean sure the front rows are probably that expensive, but I didnt pay 200 dollars neither time I went and I had great seats both times. The ticket prices are in line with other artists, I actually paid more to see Beyonce and had worse seats than the cheaper tickets I had for Britney.

Either way lip syncing is lame (you are a SINGER!) but I don't think there's any kind of enforceability clause for the Australian government, lol. It's kind of a 'buyer beware' type thing when you buy concert tickets.

So don't say NEVER cause that is not true. Do some research and you will find some evidence, Britney's been singing since she was like 7 or 8 when she appeared on Star Search. She can sing if she wants to, she is not the best but she wouldn't have made it this far on lip-synching alone. And its not all about being a singer. I see Britney as an entertainer, not only as a singer. Bashing on Britney for lip-synching but being a J.Lo fan in my opinion is a contradiction.

When Jennifer has done more live (singing) shows, then Britney. I was so impressed to see all the live performances she did for her Brave era (in the U.S.), and Jenny can belt.

But lets face it, in the beginning she did a lot of lip-synching and was not comfortable with her voice. Yet we all stood by her, and we were all fans. Then why is it different for Britney lip-synching. I am sorry but no one will ever convince me otherwise that this is not a contradiction. Thats like saying I hate Jennifer Aniston cuz all she does are romantic comedies, meanwhile here is our beloved J.Lo who also likes to do them. Obviously I know some of you may think I am biased because I am a huge Britney fan, she comes second after J.Lo to me. I feel bad for Britney cause people are never satisfied, bet if she starts singing live people will just come up with something new to bash her on. I can see it now: "I want my money back because Britney didn't do REAL magic tricks on her Circus tour. Damn you Britney, we paid good money so we want some REAL magic tricks, and don't get me started on the fact that she can't really fly and is suspended by a wire".

Nobody bought a ticket to see Britney because they thought she was a circus - they bought tickets to see her sing. Being angry that she didn't really fly just makes you an idiot, not an angry fan. A reasonable person knows that the name Circus is just a name and a theme and you could never make an argument to get your money back with that. I don't have a problem with Britney. I have a problem with lip syncing in general and I have always had this position, whether we are discussing Britney or Jen or anyone. I don't like or dislike someone based on their live shows - I just happen to like Jen more than Britney, and I don't think this makes me a hypocrite or contradicting myself. I hate it equally when Jen lip syncs.

I dislike lip synching but could understand more if she was dancing her ass off. I agree that Britney is more of a performer but she isnt even doing that now. She obviously came back to early after what she went through. The comparison with Jen isn't that great as yeah she did do it in her early years but made a huge effort during CAUM/Brave to do live shows (and did do live earlier than that) so she built her confidence from the beginning and has developed and grown. Britney did it at the beginning but is STILL doing it so showing no development after 10+ years.

Exactly, this whole thread is funny to me. Britney has been lipsynching since the 90's, either you deal with it or you don't. I don't get these ridiculous people asking for there money back. - And Jess I was not being nonsensical, I was being rhetorical and using fallacies to prove my point. I wouldn't expect people to believe that. Or at least I hope they are not stupid enough to. Three of us so far.... Me, Heather, and Jlosman2nv all bought tickets for the sure, and NONE of us expected to see a live vocals show. I think the majority of the people that went to see Britney also didnt expect a live vocals show. Its simple if you don't like lip-synching then don't buy Britney tickets. Nobody is forcing you to do so.

OMG Britney can't touch Jen when it comes to singing. or anything else.. I have never heard Britney hit any high notes. I'm sorry that you love Britney and this happened to her, because I really want her to do well. I feel really sorry for her, her songs however are very touching.. but she can't touch Jen, no way!

I'm with Jess on the lip syncing. Personally I would never pay money to see an artist lip sync at a concert, I'm all about the vocals and if you can put on a performance along with that then great! Jen is an exception though because I would see her in any capacity, wouldn't like the lip syncing, but I would see her. lol
