^ Well we shouldn't talk without knowing for sure. Just because they were in the same place doesn't mean anything. Jen and P. Diddy were both at the
VMA's, does that mean they are back together. Its Hollywood, they are bound to bump into eachother from time to time.

I guess being that she has so many young female fans, it sends a good message if she talks about it in the public. To raise awareness for this cruel crime, and
to show all these young woman who idolize her that it is not okay to endure a relationship with domestic abuse. Her story is like Tina Turner, Tina after a
long battle with Ike finally fought back and went public with his sorry ass. I think people respected Tina more for that, and it even help revitalize her
career.
I think the worst thing anyone can do is keep up whatevers bothering them inside. Its more healthier in my opinion to talk about your struggles with others, then deal with them on your own. I think thats what happened to Britney Spears, and she finally lost it. |

Yeah i agree that you must talk about these things...but fot these things we have friends right??
 well it's good for women to feel better by seeing she
passed through all of this like they did but Tina,Whitney are the best examples imo

^ Yeah, but public scandal makes you SUPER famous. When people have an opinion about your life choices and not just whether or not they like your song, you are
truly famous.
Other than her music Rihanna was mostly background this time last year...this is such a huge PR coup for her. |

I agree with Jess. Yeah her song and album where big but so are loads of songs (Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love was a monster smash but she doesn't
'feel' like a superstar)
To get into the superstar league there has to be the personal drama and interest in private lives. Chris Brown beating her did help increase her fame. If you think of any superstar at random there has or is interest in their personal lives aside from being a singer, actor etc. Case in Point: The diane sawyer interview was the first time I have heard her speak (apart from performing on a show and speaking for a few seconds)

^ Yeah, exactly. Other than being beat up, Rihanna never really started rumours or created news, aside from her fashion choices at least. Umbrella was just a
great song and made her future music more likely to be well-received too.
If any of you read Dlisted, I like to use Michael K's term for "MOM FAMOUS:" someone is famous if your mom has heard of them AND knows the current news in their life. lol |
