Ok... so I have been dying to make a comment with the collaboration with Pitbull....
my only problem is... why Pitbull? As a Hip-Hop/R&B fan there are some things I'd like to say... For those of you who do now know although I think it's been stated before Pitbull first become known for his hit single "Culo" back in 2004 which I believe hit the Top 40 @ #32, other than that he is has been basically known as a mediocre rapper in the U.S. and more known for his infectious beats he provides in his songs (or whoever makes them lol). After that from what I knew of him he was basically featured in other rappers singles such as the Ying Yang Twins in "Shake" which almost hit the Top 40 I believe, his albums have done "ok" (only going gold I think) and and has been featured in "remixes" for many Reggaeton Artists. That being said I definately think he's done a good job so far this year after hitting the Top 40 with his song "Krazy" and then the Top 10's with "I Know You Want Me" and "Hotel Room Service", the latter being more known for the sample he used from another song, but if you check the Billboard Hot 100 this week he's not even in the Top 10 anymore... Other than that my question is because Pitbull is an artist who comes and goes... how long will his staying/star power last? and although many people are anticipating the new single (I know I definately am) I just don't understand why she would use Pitbull... one guess I have is probably because he has now become like 2009's most popular latin artist... But I was thinking why didnt she try artists like Akon, T-Pain, or even Lil' Wayne.. artists with more staying power.. who are more known.. artists who most of the time crack the Top 10 or hit #1... I mean half of you guys didn't even know who Pitbull was until they released news that they were collaborating, hell most of you guys didn't even know he sang the song "I Know You Want Me" lol I guess we'll have to wait to hear it "/ geez I just hate waiting lol.. I guess ill still love it cuz its JLO but I just want her to make a BIG comeback, you guys know what I mean? "/ p.s. - anything new about the single?? its already OCTOBER!! lol |

It's been on the charts for 15 weeks, which is pretty great. I think his songs were part of the soundtrack of summer. He's hot right now and he's
Latin. I don't think longevity matters, per se, because he's had hits before this summer. I think it'll probably released very soon, since his last
single is winding down now.
