Jennifer would just make her glamorous, Jen is too scared to get fat and ugly in front of a camera.

And it was the same problem with The dirty girl social club she didn't want to gain weight to do it. She has yet to really physically transform herself for a role. |

"I'm like every girl
who wants a glamorous life, wants to play dress-up with a closet full of fun stuff and feather boas-and a chance to dream." |
ummm...Old Puchi wasn't exactly the most flattering on screen...
i hear ya...but i don't quite care about that....i actually find it kind of freaky and disgusting when actors do that to themselves...it's called 'acting' for a reason..lol |

^ it's not just the weight, but you know just looking different not at her advantage all the time, Püchi is close but not quiet that since she was just
playing an old woman.

I don't think gaining or losing weight for a role is a good thing and probably not the healthiest thing to do either.

Here is an example of what altering your weight for a role can do to you.
Actor MATT DAMON regrets starving himself for his role in COURAGE UNDER FIRE because it led to bad health. Damon lost almost 50 pounds (3 stone 9 pounds) to realistically play the role of a heroin addict in the 1996 movie. But The Departed star admits his strict exercise and diet regime was too dramatic. He says, "I went too far. I got sick and I wouldn't do that again because it was just too much. At the same time it helped the performance. I didn't have to act at all - I was a wreck. "I was getting dizzy spells and hot flashes. I didn't say anything to anyone for a while because I was afraid I might be really ill." |

^ yeah but again it's just not the weight and yeah 50 pound is too much lol that's the extreme, Bordertown is a good example for what we were talking
about, just her overall look

bellajlo wrote: The ugly moments were barely glimpses, and she did those well. Yet we saw an ultra glam JLo on screen when she went to see Hector in rehab, in the studio, lunch with Hector's sister, walking down the street with her son and Hector, etc. Then as I look through the Back Up Plan behind the scenes that we've been posting, I see JLo, I don't see a character. Just saying, she needs to transform herself like she used to when she did Mi Familia, Selena, Out of Sight, The Cell, and Angel Eyes. Why are Mariah (Precious) and Beyonce (Cadillac Records) transforming instead of Jen? |

I don't think you have to transform yourself to be a great actor. I think doing so dosen't really show your true capabilities either. Most Oscar
winners have won truly on their acting abilities alone and not by transforming themselves. I think it's whatever fits the character at the time.

RuRuLoVesJLO wrote: I agree. I think it would do her credibility as an actress nothing but good if she'd really transform for a movie role, gaining weight and maybe her hair showing roots or a lil grey and yeah but RuRu said bout TBUP I see JLo too and no character, atleast so far I've seen and so far I can judge |

^ i agree except for The back-up plan it's a rom-com she doesn't have to transform herself for this kind of movie imo.

and yeah but RuRu said bout TBUP I see JLo too and no character, atleast so far I've seen and so far I can judgeYour character dictates what your appearance is in a movie. Why would she transform herself for a movie like TBUP? She can't just walk in on a set and say, "Im going to change my appearance". Movies are about acting. Yes there are actors who do great transformations, but imo it's not a necessity to be great. I think her greatest credibility will come with a really good script where she can really stretch her acting. I love her rom coms, they are successful and she loves doing them, but with a really good script and a deep drama role, she could get that Oscar nom. No transformation needed. btw, I hope she never does the weight thing for a movie. |

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, sharing a late-night dinner à deux at Cecconi's in West Hollywood. For their date night, the two grabbed a back corner table outside, wine for him (and a drink for her) and seemed really into just being with each other. "They were totally cute," an onlooker tells us. "Really deep in conversation, and they seemed to be having a good time." Also dining at the Italian restaurant that night: Lindsay Lohan. |
