His a very smart, clever, intelligent manager who will lift Jennifer up from her long list of recent flops. Jennifer has not had a hit in song or film in a very long long time and is slowly becoming insignificant in the entertainment industry when just a few years ago she was Hollywood's 'IT' girl. If he can bring back a fraction of that success I will be happy, and I know if Jennifer is managed and promoted correctly she will be able to do it.

The reason she is not as famous or as successful had nothing to with Benny. It had to do with the fact that she decided right after she fired Benny, to take a year and a half off. You can't do that in Hollywood because people will forget about you.

We've also always talked about the differences in Sony pre and post Mottola. He left in early '03. Her lowest selling albums came after '03. Since he controlled the company, he controlled the money. Therefore, I'm sure more money and more attention were given to her at Sony. Not only that, but the music industry is in a completely different place right now. Record companies are strugglign and trying to figure out how to make money while sales and revenues continue to fall drastically. There are many factors involved.

Movie-wise, her movies with Benny were not huge successes. They were all just "okay" with the exception of MIM. She did not gain box office clout or critical acclaim.

He goes through clients like crazy, so there's obviously some sort of issue.

Regardless, I don't care who manages her. But every single thing she does now, people are saying "Oh, must be because of Benny!" She performed at Fashion Rocks last year and was on the cover of the magazine last year. Without Benny. She's in Movies Rock this year and if she performs again on Fashion Rocks, it's likely because of the relationships she forged while working with Conde Nast on it last year.

It'd be hilarious if they were just hanging out and not working together.

But back to the topic, I don't think she's performing. This whole thing is strange.

1st highlighted sentence: I think that's right but not all the people in Hollywood consider "diva" as something negative. It could be someone bad, but can also be someone famous. There are lots of artist in Hollywood today that are penned as "divas" but it seems like no one was really trying to dissipate away from them. What was actually happening is the other way around.

2nd highlighted sentence: I should be against you once more. Yes, Jen did that - she took a year and a half off. The only problem is that she didn't use that given time to pour her heart out on her then-brand new album "Rebirth". "Get Right" was a hit. Granted, but the others were not the songs we were expecting them to be. A comeback should always be a comeback. People did not forget her, but they were disappointed to see Jen's effort comparable to an album that is done like, say... within 2 weeks.

3rd highlighted sentence: Even I had the same thought.Many other artists from different Sony divisions went on to sell higher than their previous efforts. Jen's star, however, faded slowly. Everyone will assume that the failure was because of Benny's departure from her management. But for now, since he's back, let us see if he could revive Jen's sloppy career.
