Seems to me they're going out of business.  EVERYTHING is dirt cheap compared to the original prices. I think they're just going back to J.Lo by
Jennifer Lopez.

it's a though business, SJP clothing line didn't even last a year, celebrities should let this to real designers anyway, it's better to do
something like Madonna did for H&M or Penelope for Mango than having a clothing line with your name. JMI.

In theory, it was a good idea. It was a way for them to start fresh with retailers, which was something that they really needed. And they still do. You
can't find it in very many stores, which is, of course, a big problem. It started off in so many stores, but lost steam because of their manufacturing and
quality issues. Now that they've been around for quite a few years, those things are resolved and they know what they're doing. So, retailers should
give them a second look. But that's not so easy. Convincing stores to invest in something that didn't work before is a hard sell.
Plus, justweet could reach consumers who didn't like the idea of wearing something that said "J.Lo". Regardless, I don't think they played their cards correctly. The fashion show was basically the only promo. And yes, it got pres because of Jen's baby bump, but that's not enough. Granted, she wore a shirt on AI, but that was way before it was available in stores. I'm not convinced that giving up on it so early is a smart move, but  I'm sure there's a lot more internal stuff going on that explains it.

Of the 3 lines, I think justsweet was the weakest fashion-wise. Honestly I wouldn't wear majority of it, lol. It wasn't really my personal style and it
was expensive for simple stuff.
Since J.Lo and Sweetface are clearly the moneymakers, it makes sense to just stick with that. Since it has been so profitable in the past, I'm glad J.Lo is making a comeback...I liked that stuff a lot. |

You have to rotate your products according to market needs. But that's not so easy. Convincing stores to invest in something that didn't work before is a hard sell.I think they pushed Justsweet out exactly for this purpose. To convince retailers that the quality has improved...now they just need the 'celebrity' touch and that's why J.LO is being rolled out once again. If there's one thing I would agree on is to possibly do away with the jewelry and handbags (most of it was never great quality). Stick to shoes, small accessories (hats/watches/sunglasses), and apparel, possibly lingerie again. ie: Jessica Simpson has been wildly successful with just a shoe line..so Jen' can just stick to apparel and make it super strong! |

Jenn can stick with everything shoes,handbags and so on the thing was the quality when J.LO line started it was a hit but like in '05 the quality was kind
of different and was getting more expensive but her name sells a lot and thats what heppend with justsweet because no one knows who was the designer so people
thought it was bad quality and expensive since they dindt know who created it. Jlo has been out of business in us like 2 years ago and people still ask where
can they find her stuff...
I just cant wait for the Jlo line to come back im sure its going to be a hit but she needs to do magazine ads like when she started with the line |

Her name can sell a lot but it can backfire as well. People will buy J.Lo if they're neutral fans or big fans - people who don't like her will not.
Just like I will not buy House of Derriere ever, simply because Beyonce annoys the fuck out of me.

I have a J.Lo heart charm, but normally I don't wear cheap jewelery so I never bought any of it. I think she should make more scarves! Jen wears them a lot in the winter. I'd still kill for that scarf Ana Beatriz wore in an ad a few years ago, and Jen also wore it during an Extra interview. Someone find it for me. lol |
