i really like her quote on why she is nanny-free
'honestly, i didnt like the barrier between me and my children, i wanted to raise them. i wanted to be the first face they saw in the morning. and i wanted to let them know, 'you can count on me', so i just got rid of everybody' although its quite a different picture that she painted in people mag when she did have the help. the pics are beautiful |

I think the quote about being more ambitious is more about new things to come, not an old era but a new one. I'm excited.
Actually the interviewer was the one that mentioned the help they had and it was only a mention. Plus they said that although they had round the clock nurses, she and Marc still did most of the work themselves.

Lillemon03, Thanks for the scans! I just got my hands on a copy from the food market, but had to check @ a few registers to find it. I agree that this reads like a fresh interview. I haven't picked up on any rehashing of comments that have already gone through the news services. Jenn sounds different because of what has happened in her life, and the different ways she is responding to change and growing.. For example: ... Adjusting to the twins' schedule hasn't always been smooth. "First, Marc was the night shift + I was the day, but he was like, 'I hate this!' So we decided we're just going to help each other all day and all night," she says... (Rest of paragraph's about how tired parents often get with newborns. I feel esp. good about this one ^ because Marc was really trying, but it looked like he was having a rough time w/ it, esp. while recording (3) albums? Not to mention that he & Jenn wouldn't be together that much: - either as a couple -or- as parents to Emme and Maz, jmho.. Btw, Jenn's also featured on two extra pages of the mag. One, on pg 17 (Coverlook), and the next is on pg. 22, w/ her sitting next to the editor , who describes the ways Jenn inspires her!

abbibrown wrote: What do you mean? I think it makes sense, because if you have a live in nanny, that nanny is going to bond with them and hopefully, really love them. So, I'd think that when you want to do stuff with your kids, you'd feel like you were being watched or judged or something. I don't know, I understand what she means about the barrier. It would make me uncomfortable. Especially since these
are her first children and you aren't really "parent of the year" right out of the gate. You make mistakes.

No biggie. Just for future reference, it's really easy. Just paste the embed code right into the quick reply. When you submit the post, it automatically
embeds it.
In "Add Reply", just click "html" then paste the embed code, then click "html" again and you're good to go. |
