It's 10:35am on a Tuesday in London, I'm sat in a beautiful En Suite hotel room waiting to interview Jennifer Lopez, 39 , a woman who is known to the media by three letters and not to mention a Diva, but this 'Diva' is now a mother and happily married to singer Marc Anthony of four years, now she somewhat seems more humbled than what was has been previously portrayed.
It is now 11:15am, her PA enters the room where I am and greets me telling me that Jennifer will be with 'you in a minute' and disappears back into the room from which came. I wait patiently and twenty minutes later her make-up artist emerges followed by the rest of Lopez's team. Marc walks out wishing me a good morning before disappearing into another room cradling their baby daughter, Emme of 9 months. Marc is soon followed by Jennifer's PA who is cradling Emme's brother, Max who peacefully asleep.
I look on smiling at the twins ,when Jennifer finally appears, - she is sporting black slim fitted jeans and a white bead-embroided, sleeveless top, her fresh-faced beauty is flawless, but I also notice that she looks slightly tired, perhaps an indication of late night bottle feedings. Her chesnut brown hair which is tied back has a presence of blonde streaks, a throwback to her earlier hairstyle as a songstress. She sits opposite me, while she sips her latte, when suddenly Jennifer is alerted by the sound of a crying baby. It seems 'Maxi' is now awake, Marc assures Jennifer from the other room that he's OK. "We were up pretty late last night" she laughs.
Now a mother of two, I ask how life has changed. She is quick to flash a warm smile and tells that Max and Emme are "are a dream come true, I feel so blessed, they're perfect". "He [Marc] is definitely trained well in the diaper department", she laughs, referring to her three step-children: Arianna, Christian and Ryan.
Knowing that
motherhood is something she desperately longed for, I ask why she kept her pregnancy a secret. She does not hesitate to correct me, "For me, it wasn't
like I was hiding the fact that I was expecting, you know what I mean. It was a special moment for Marc, myself and my
family."

Born to two entertainers, Jennifer isn't quick to dismiss the possibility of her children becoming performers, although the media spotlight is the only doubt that remains about her children becoming stars. "It [the media] can be a scary thing, I know because I've lived it, everything you do is scrutinized, they constantly want a piece of you and it can run you down sometimes. I'm passionate about my work, I love what I do. If my children wanted to become performers I would support them, but I would be very protective."
Although she has achieved her dream of becoming a mother, that has not slowed down her ambition to be a working mum. Her recent project Love and Impossible pursuits due out in cinemas towards the end of the year sees Lopez play a mistress-turned-wife, Emilia who seduces Jack, a wealthy lawyer, from his wife and child, convinced that he is her soul mate. Co-stars of the film are said to describe Lopez as a true professional, director Don Roos has spoken of how he envisioned the role for Lopez before casting. However, it seems a majority film critics have yet to give Lopez the green light as far as film choices, but Jennifer is sure that the script for the film was an 'exciting project, I absolutely wanted to do this movie.'
As a successful actress, performer and businesswoman, what else does Lopez want to achieve: 'I wanna produce movies, I am actually co-producing a film right now' she's reveals in her Bronx accent, I want to get into the studio and record some more music soon.' Could her anticipated plans of heading back into the studio mean that the rumours of her collaborating with Hip Hop star, Kanye West are true? "We'll see, what happens" she says.
One thing is for sure, despite how much the media may criticize this Latina, she is a lady who has accomplished her ambitions, both professionally and personally. Lopez still has the ambition and drive she did when she first started, but it is clear that her personal achievements - building a family, is what she is proud of most.
