Here are a few high- profile events on a DNC party roster: Jennifer Lopez is down to co-host an event chaired by New Mexico Gov. Bill
Richardson and Sen. Ken Salazar. No comment from Salazar's office on that one.
Bill Richardson's name has been thrown around as a possible VP nominee.
EDIT: See Page 5 for photos and vid!

I think celebrities individually and blatantly trying using their status, ie Oprah, is not a good thing, but it doesn't look like that's the case with
Jen's involvement. According to the article she's a representative of the American Recording Industry. In that case I don't see anything wrong
with it. It's like any other organization endorsing a candidate.
In the end though like it or not celebrities are citizens just like everyone else . They have the right to speak out , wear their candidates tee shirts, and
attend functions or whatever. For me it doesn't sway my vote nor should it for anyone.
i am not so much into politic but i am glad if jen feels her self to speak about it, to be a celebrity do not mean to be "just" and entertainment ,
she is a person, she can thinks...so why not to tell her way to think in politic? I am glad that she is into that too.
I think it is extremely unfair to make comments that "celebrities" should leave politics to politicians.
Why? Becuase "celebrities" are HUMAN BEINGS too. I am a very opinionated person when it comes to many thing in this world including politics, and I
exercise my right to express my political views on a regular basis. Why should any "celebrity" (aka fellow human being) be judged negatively for
doing the same?
Some don't, and some do. Thats the way its always been in ANY community, and Hollywood is no different.
This is by no means directed as an insult or personal attack, it's always been my view and I just wanted to put it forward.

I agree. That being said, I agree with Tee, that when they do like Oprah did, it becomes too much.
