'Jennifer Lopez' is quite a common name. I'm betting it was another actress that never made another movie, and since Imdb saw 'Jennifer Lopez' being billed at the beginning, they thought it was our Jennifer.

And Jennifer herself has nothing to do with her official website, which always turned me off about her. I like when actors/musicians consider their websites as venues to connect them to fans. JenniferLopez.com is nothing more than a music promo page with some innaccurate film info. I've never seen it, but years ago a bunch of veteran Jen fans watched the movie, pausing each scene looking for Jen and they didn't find her. I don't think she's in it. According to them, "My Little Girl" was filmed in Philadelphia, + released in May 1987.

a) I've scanned the movie several times with an eagle eye. There is no Jen. The only character she could possibly be is the friend on the boat. But it's not her. It's not her face. It's not her voice. We've all seen pictures of Jen in high school, she doesn't look that dramatically different.
b) She was 16 years old during the filming. At 16, Jen was dirt poor attending high school full time.
c) It's never mentioned in any of her official biographies, nor is there any footage of Jennifer speaking about winning this role. Its always In Living Color thats mentioned as her first major gig in 1990.
